Jesus Christ our redeemer

In this Easter weekend find time and meditate on these verses….It will “cost” you more time to read through them and meditate …yet it is worth remembering the sacrifice that Jesus made inorder for us to enjoy the “freedom” we have today….

Isaiah 53:1-4…Who has believed our message???To whom has the LORD’s power been revealed???

It was the Will of God that his servant grow like a plant taking root in dry ground …He had no dignity or beauty to make us take notice of him….There was nothing attractive about him, nothing that would draw us to him….

He was despised and rejected by people…He was a man of sorrows, familiar with suffering….He was despised like one from whom people turn their faces, and we didn’t consider him to be worth anything….

But he endured the suffering that should have been ours, the pain that we should have borne…All the while we thought that his suffering was punishment sent by God….

Have you ever “sat” …thought and reflected on the “full cost” ….that Jesus paid with his blood at the cross!!!! ….

Because of that sacrifice; thousands of years later….we continue to enjoy the “benefits.” You need to go back to the Old Testament to see the “laws” and the “practices” that were in place to deal with sin…

It is written….

Hebrews 9:5-9…Above the Ark were the cherubim of divine glory, whose wings stretched out over the Ark’s cover, the place of atonement…But we cannot explain these things in detail now….

When these things were all in place, the priests regularly entered the first room as they performed their religion duties….

But only the high priest ever entered the Most Holy Place, and only once a year….And he always offered blood for his own sins and for the sins the people committed in ignorance…

The Holy Spirit used this to show that the way into the Most Holy Place was not open while the tent was still in use….

This is a symbol which points to the present time…It means that the offerings and animal sacrifices presented to God cannot make the Worshipper’s heart perfect….

In times of the old; there was no direct “access” to God… only the High Priest would enter the The Most Holy Place (Holy of Holies) once a year offering blood for his sins and the sins of the people….

As you reflect and meditate on the “free gift” of salvation by the blood of Jesus that we received through his death on the cross; he paid the penalty for our sins ….and all our diseases were healed….

Most importantly; because of this sacrifice (death of the cross)…ONCE FOR ALL…we were given direct “access” to enter the The Most Holy Place to Worship God…to repent when we sin and also to seek his guidance on everything….

This “free gift” of salvation is available to you today….The penalty of your sins was paid ….redeeming you from the death penalty…..
