Choose wisely!!!

Thursday reminders!!!

As your day “unfolds” today; remember in every second …every minute…and every hour; you will be required to make choices….Choose wisely ….Let the Word of God be your guiding light as you choose…..Never consider “a choice” because another has chosen “it.” ….In your “choices” let your motive be right….Let your “choices” be personal and out of “conviction” that, that is the “right” thing to do ….For this very reason reflect and meditate on these verses….

1 Corinthians 10:23-24….You say, “I am allowed to do anything”….but not everything is good for you….You say, “I am allowed to do anything”…but not everything is beneficial….None of you should be looking out for your own interests, but for the interests of others…

This tells you the importance of having “values” and “disciplines” that helps you to stay “grounded” and focused….When you lack in these; you become easily “swayed” and therefore you can end up “engaging” in time wasting and none- beneficial activities….

When you cannot “hold on”… to what you “stand for”… you can never be trusted…Though people “around” you might not be “honest” to tell you this “truth”….in your absence they might “discuss” about you….This is a dangerous place to be because you can easily be “misused” and made to “engage” in “battles” or activities that might “work” against you….Those you might “take” as your friends might actually be your enemies….

In most cases; a person who doesn’t “hold” to what they “stand for” and is easily convinced to change their position and “back” another or a majority even though “deep down” in their hearts they don’t want to do it; has “fear” of being “shunned” by everyone….

Surprisingly; when one considers I Corinthians 10:24…about looking for the interest of others…This is about fulfilling the second most important commandment….”Love your neighbor as yourself”…. You can only consider the interest of another when you have dealt with “self”….

Can I at this point ask you ….Do you have “values” and “principles” that “govern” your life??? Are they bible based!!! Do they enable you to evaluate what is good and beneficial to you and others???

Lastly; do you consider the interests of others first before making decisions or what matters most is your “gain”!!!!…..
