Psalm 141:3-4…Set a guard over my mouth, LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips….Do not let me be persuaded to do anything evil or to become involved with wickedness, with people who are troublemakers….Do not let me taste their delicacies….
Ephesians 4:29…. Don’t say anything that would hurt (another person)… Instead, speak only what is good so that you can give help wherever it is needed….That way, what you say will help those who hear you….
Proverbs 13:3….Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything…..
These reminders are especially timely in this long weekend….Beware of the “traps” of the enemy….He will be actively trying all he can to cause trouble by bringing quarrels and misunderstanding among family members and friends; inorder to break unity and cause delay in some of the plans God has ordained for completion this year which might need “input” from these people….
When “offence” occurs; there is communication breakdown….It can also lead to violent confrontations….The result….broken relationships …
This is the time to “activate” James 1:19 if you had “put it” aside ….
