Today; can we take a “challenge”!!! This challenge is like no other. It is based on this ….
1 Timothy 2:1-4….I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people…Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them…
Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity….The is good pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth….
Matthew 5:44…But I tell you to love your enemies and pray for anyone who mistreats you…
Here comes the “Challenge”!!!
Read carefully what is written in 1 Timothy 2:1-4 and Matthew 5:44 and do just that…
1. Pray for everyone ….that includes your arrogant boss who mistreats you …the “entitled” neighbor who will not allow your guests to park their vehicles near their home even though they have plenty of space …not forgetting the “gossiper” who speaks “ill” of you … telling lies about you because they are Jealous….etc…
But how and “what” are you to pray “for” them….
2….Ask God to help them…and give thanks for them…
3…..Pray for Kings(Kenya) pray for the President and all who are in authority…this includes all those wicked ..and corrupt leaders that are sponsoring “goons” to cause chaos…(Note …you have not been asked to pray for yourself or your family….You have not been asked to complain and “discuss” problems…you have been asked to pray) … Why!!! …”so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.”
All these wicked and corrupt people are the reason why we are suffering and our lives are “difficult “!!! Right!!! This is the “World view “….If we would take our positions and “do” our part …Do what is right….Pray as instructed instead of complaining….Speak hope to the hopeless ….
The result will be what we want to “see” … Peaceful quiet lives…. people caring for one another….willing to share and benefit each other… leading to “godliness and dignity.”
What does our “challenge” for today entails: Refer to Ephesians 4:29….Keep “positive “…Don’t say anything that will hurt another….and what you say must be beneficial to you and to the person listening….Secondly; be a blessing to everyone you will meet today…by being kind…meet a need for someone who is undeserving ….help the sick etc
Now you are ready to get started….Are you “IN” for it!!! I AM…. ARISE!!!!
