Unseen battles

Have you ever wondered why you sleep “full” of energy and looking forward to the next day ….with your plans in place….and then; when you rise up the following day you are “feeling” overwhelmed…. Sometimes not really able to point out what is wrong!!!! You are kind of….sad….not excited but somehow not energetic as you “felt” before going to bed the previous night …. What happens….

When you go to “sleep” your adversary Satan does not go to sleep…Your prayers for the night is not a religious ritual; it is you asking the LORD to watch over you …. protect you, your family and what concerns you….By praying; you invite God to fight your battles …Beyond that.. it is you praying for other people…your relatives…your neighbors ….putting a “cover of protection” over people…over the roads…. airspace and even over the sea so that the plans and the schemes of Satan can be thwarted…

Our prayers are “weapons of war”…. Because of this; when the “battles” are being “fought” in the “spiritual realm” the effect on you is that you will wake up “feeling” exhausted…Sometimes you can be “hit” by discouragement and you “feel like”… giving up on a “project” that you were previously looking forward to complete….

You could also wake up in a “bad mood” irritable with no explanation….Although God is able to fight your battles and protect you; it is your responsibility to take note of these “counter attacks” and respond to them appropriately…

These “counter attacks” can still make you fall into a trap even after God has done his part … If you wake up feeling tired; you might decide to cancel your appointments for the day….If you are “feeling” discouraged you might make “wrong” decisions….If you are are moody and irritable; it will affect your interactions with others….

You must counter these “counter attacks” by deliberately “shifting the atmosphere”….saturate your “space” with songs praise…Don’t “follow” your “feelings”….Exercise to refresh and reenergize…”Wear” the garment of praise and thanksgiving….

Psalm 18:1-3…I love you, LORD; you are my strength…The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection….He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety…I called on the LORD, who is worthy of my praise, and he saved me from my enemies….

Psalm 27:1…The LORD is my light and my salvation….so why should I be afraid?? The LORD is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble??

Arise and Shine!!!
